About Budding Minds

The name itself is very symbolic as our mission is to help children, adolescents, parents and families to grow by building a stable foundation to root them in the ground. By doing so, this will help such individuals to adapt to different seasons. As an educational psychologist I have a special interest in learning and development, and how this affects an individual’s overall function. I believe that learning and development are the roots that help children to grow and so our mission is to help create a healthy system for them to do so.

Additionally, I am trained to assess cognitive, academic, emotional functioning, and apply psychological interventions to enhance learning and development. This can be achieved through psycho-educational assessments, or through therapeutic interventions, such as play therapy. I am trained to identify barriers to learning and how to provide the necessary interventions related to this. My mission is to help every child achieve their potential so that they can blossom into the best versions of themselves.

I have always had a special interest in child development.  I believe that every child has the potential to grow and flourish.

I have conducted research on how Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can affect the family with specific interest in the sibling. I have been trained to work psychodynamically however, I enjoy working from an eclectic approach where I create therapeutic interventions according to what my clients need. Additionally, therapy extends systemically. This means that when working with children, teens or parents, I like to work with the various systems involved in order to best fulfil the needs of the client.

My particular interests are assessments, dealing with divorce, ADHD, self-esteem, identity, anxiety, social skill development, depression, bullying,  learner support and adjustment issues.
